Liked the storyline but the main character did my head in, the amount of “it would’ve been - for normal people, but not for Jack Reacher” got old real fast and made it harder to read.
This was probably the best one in a while. For those out there that worried about Lee Child not writing any more I just have to say don't worry. This is great fun and well written. The text is one of the best I have read in a long time. Wow. Sadly now we have to wait a whole year for the next Reacher adventure but I'm certain he will return. In the time untill then I will read other books connected to the Reacher universe. I also must say welcome aboard to Andrew Child
slow-paced
I don't usually like the Reacher novels centered around technological plots. I should have listened to my gut on this one. Tedious and boring. Scott Brick did a good job with the narration, though.

Fairly typical Reacher book. Voice is different, probably due to Andrew Grant (Child)
Reacher is an escape--something I don't have to think about. This one seemed a little choppy in terms of following setting and plot.

This was my introduction to Reacher, I know I know, where have I been? It’s not that I haven’t gotten other books or don’t know who he is, the opportunity just hasn’t arisen to dive in. I really enjoyed this book, it was everything that I love in a thriller. It was suspenseful with a mystery and interesting story threads and characters. It had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happening next and how everything was connected. Scott Brick performed the audiobook to perfection. Each character and emotion was given a unique voice and the transitions were smooth. There was a number of characters and it was always easy to ascertain which character’s POV we were in. The production was great with no issues.
Im a big fan of Lee Child / Jack Reacher and have read all the books - I found this book was a lot better than the last one Blue Moon as I found that one not as believable for the Jack Reacher we know and love but Jack seems to have done an about face with how he handles things and gone back to how he was. Really enjoyed the story line - parts of it a bit slow but overall very enjoyable.
I notice that Lee Child has brought in his younger brother Andrew (both use the same last-name pseudonym), who might eventually take over writing duties for the Jack Reacher series (?). If Andrew hadn’t been acknowledged, I wouldn’t have been any the wiser, this Reacher story is the same as all the preceding ones (a good thing!) as far as writing style and storyline formula are concerned. Reacher arrives in some godforsaken place in the USA, gets attacked by at least two goons, who he turns into minced meat, then some dastardly conspiracy emerges, which Reacher proceeds to sort out with cunning and loads more violence. In every ‘episode’ Reacher stays in cheap motels, visits a disposal store to buy new clothes (he travels without luggage), and has an affair with a woman. Why change a winning formula? I managed to get a signed (by both Child brothers) copy of this book at that fabulous bookstore (Topping) in Bath (Somerset, England) during my last visit! May there be many more Reacher books. We need our regular dose of righteousness and courage, not to mention the prehistoric reptile instincts and other Reacher quirks.
