This was a wild ride! Great read as a thriller, but highly suggest looking at TWs before reading. I had to turn off my visual imagination for some parts as they can weigh pretty heavy on the mind, especially for women.

I’ve seen this recommended on booktok for YEARS and I’m so happy I finally read it. Absolutely not a light horror/crime read (none of them should be) and I think I’ll be taking a hiatus from reading horror for the rest of the year. This book made me want to call my dad.

oh lord, this is a pretty dark read. its a book that should probably come with trigger warnings as there are graphic depictions of crimes in the story. at times, its felt a bit trauma-heavy, like trauma for trauma's sake. i would've loved a stronger core- a stronger connection between the sisters and mother.

crazy, insane, terrifying, horrible, downright evil… WOAH what a book. very graphic, violent, and disturbing but a really incredible story. i almost feel icky giving it 5 stars because it’s so insane but i was so thoroughly entertained and terrified the whole time. one of the best thrillers i’ve read.
the characters were very strong, as was the plot. i dont think a book has ever made me physically react as much as this one did. lots of jaw dropping moments, feelings of disgust and disbelief, etc. honestly, not a bad thing about this book other than the atrocious things that happen in the story.
(would recommend looking at content warnings before picking this up)
