Sad to say this trilogy ran out of steam before the finish line. The plot got extremely repetitive, to the point that there were recognizable and predictable markers along the way. Many of the characters also seemed to lose much of their depth. Disappointing conclusion after such a strong start.

Me ha encantado, tanto el libro como la trilogía. En mi opinión, The Night Masquerade es el más profundo de los tres. Me ha gustado mucho la originalidad y la diversidad de los mundos y los personajes de esta saga, pero en este último libro, además, es en el que más hincapié se hace en los conflictos de los personajes y se pone todo en perspectiva.

Más allá de la trama en sí misma, se pueden extraer varias lecturas sobre nuestra sociedad o, mejor dicho, sobre nuestras sociedades, que me han dado mucho sobre lo que reflexionar. Es un canto al respeto, la tolerancia, la diversidad y la paz; pero no desde un enfoque simplista y facilón, sino elaborado y lleno de aristas.

Just, wow! What a stunning series and beautiful close to the trilogy. I am in awe of how carefully and intricately woven this story was, and it inspires me to find hope where it feels impossible. Thank you Nnedi Okorafor!
