This was so good, so unique and empowering. I loved the fairytale feel, that type of writing is something that just intstantly draws me in and reminds me of childhood. And what a beautiful take on feminism in such a well-developed Fantasy world, with iconic characters and sweeping character arcs. This really did read like a fairytale, and it was fantastic and something I'd never seen before. Also I'm not sure why Goodreads says I've read it two times, it's lying. But I really enjoyed this and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a feel-good, refreshing read.

a GORGEOUS and magical book! wishing i could read it for the first time all over again <3 truly a wonderful novel with themes on feminism, individuality, and even trans-ness, with an enchanting strong female lead and the found family she garnered along the way. the writing is beautiful, and the descriptive language is so vibrant. an amazing book for anyone who loves stories with strong themes and supernatural magic
