Fate always has other plans

This was a good second installment. I'm glad Sienna powers are coming through. Infant wait to find out exactly what she is. Dominick is a great General and romantic lead. He cares for Sienna and she cares for him. Can't wait for the third book.

I loved the story. I’m sucked in. I was sad it ended. I didn’t realize I was at the end. I really want to know what happened and if the veil really only fell because of one simple item… the book did a perfect balance of recap and fresh story. I’m thankful for that. Our poor MC is struggling with her new abilities and it kills me that somehow how, not a single person know show to help her. She’s going through those new emotions and abilities basically on her own with no idea how to read them and dissect them. I look forward to the next book. I want to know moreeeeee.

I received this an arc in exchange for an honest review.

An ok development but not as good as book one for me.

I felt this one didn’t have much plot and the endless set backs in the romance got frustrating, despite the fact I do love a slow burn normally.

As a main character sienna is incredibly frustrating too.

However, I do like the world and there was a couple of plot twists that kept me interested.

It’s also an easy read.

Will continue to book 3.

I didn’t enjoy this book as much as the first. The MMC’s absurd possessiveness was just too much and the FMC was butthurt over things that just didn’t make sense. I found myself just wanting this book to be over and I don’t think I’ll fool with reading the next one.
