I received Hunted by Fate by Shannon Mayer as an ARC, after having loved book one, Taken by Fate.
I absolutely love the world of the Alpha Territories. Set in an almost post apocalyptic world in which the veil between the supernatural realm and the human realm collapsed, humans are on the bottom of the food chain, but the FMC, Sienna has a few tricks up her sleeve.
In book 2, Sienna’s story picks up right where book 1 left off, with her fleeing Vampire Territory with the goal of saving the Vampire Monarchy. If you loved book one, book two is even better in my opinion. Sienna starts to understand herself, and the reality of her situation better, which makes for some really good moments of introspection and angst.
Sienna and Dom’s relationship also furthers in this installment, much to everyone’s delight!
Overall I really enjoyed this book, especially the look we get into the other territories, the more information we get about the other important characters, and the ever growing clues about Sienna’s mysterious past.
A wonderful addition to The Alpha Territories!

Once again, Shannon knocks it out of the park!

The plot is cringe and trope-y but I’m invested nonetheless. We now have a prophecy going which is cool and raises the stakes even more. But immediately after that the MMC started calling the FMC starshine. Might DNF this series just for that.
I might read the rest of the books but it’s gonna be at the bottom of my TBR.

I am always excited to read a book by this author, and I eagerly dived in to this latest. It didn’t take long before I was totally engrossed in Sienna, Dominic, Be, and William’s world. This book takes up where the first one left off (right after a prologue from the past), and we are thrown immediately into the action. We are in the werewolf world in this book, and we are introduced to new characters and a new part of the world. All the while, we learn more about all the characters, learn a couple of secrets, and see some action…of both kinds. I am so in love with this series, and I can’t wait to see what comes next! Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
This is a DNF for me. Definitely needs better editing. At one point the FMC compares the size of a werewolf as being as "big as a Subaru" with claws like Ginsu knives. Pretty sure in this world cars don't exist, let alone.'As Seen on TV" knives.
Awww man :( the momentum from the first book didn’t carry into the second. I was so disappointed in Bee!! I feel like I’m leaving with more questions than answers about the world building.
