This is truly a return to form for fans of the first triology! Having built up a new cast of characters in Iron Gold, their paths really start to cross and intertwine in this second book. Which is great, since there were times in Iron Gold where I was left wondering "why do I care about this character?" This book also has one of the most unexpected reveals in the entire series thus far - top marks!
