This book was an absolute BEAST. It was filled with so much heartbreak. I cried more times in this single book than I have in all of the previous ones.
Sometimes, particularly regarding the storyline with Ephraim and the Obsidians, the story got kinda slow. I admit I didn’t love those chapters. But it eventually built up.
With everything in me, I despise Lysander au Lune and I pray that he suffers. The entitled, spoiled, nothing little Pixie who fancies himself and Iron Gold. He’s a joke. An absolute joke. His fragile ideologies are built on lies from his grandmother. His utter betrayal of Cassius. He’s a rat and he doesn’t deserve to breathe air.
As always, Darrow can do absolutely no wrong in my eyes and his war crimes are forgiven. Hail libertas! Hail Reaper!

For those of you that have watched game of thrones. This book is like if the red wedding happened multiple times, then the ones that don’t die end up getting brutally murdered. This is like if Joffrey was intelligent and had this wicked power that did not let him die. I hate 2 people specifically more than anyone I’ve ever hated. I cried more times in this one book than I have for any other book. If Lightbringer is like this I’m going to need to call Noah up because there will be another great flood that could wipe out all of humanity (my tears)
