after what felt like stumbling through iron gold with all the things brown needed to set up for this next chapter, dark age was *excellent*. can never quite tell what is going to happen next, but every time it ruins me. cannot wait for the conclusion

This second part of this series just keeps getting better. Continues multiple POVs, weaving their stories together through this large political web. Doesn’t skip out on character growth. Really impressed with the second half of this series.

Cicero summed this book up perfectly “During war, the laws are silent” Wowza! This is by far the darkest book of the series. It took me a little longer to get into this book so if this is you, don’t give up, you’ll miss out on a fantastic read. Pierce Brown does not disappoint. It’s insane, violent, and ruthless. In the end, this book devastated me. But… I made it through. I survived. And I am so excited for Light Bringer.
