It's a Mary Higgins Clark book, what could be bad? Still very well written, it is the person that you at least expected to be at the end. I love all the character development. She is still one of my favorite authors! Even if it is her co-writer writing it now.
Super good! This was a fun one. I was definitely puzzled and didn’t know who or why! But it was so fun to get there. I liked that the podcast type thing wasn’t a huge aspect but was there. I liked the two different families & really suspected one. I wasn’t totally shocked by who! But it did a good job of keeping me guessing and invested

Me vs taking a million years to finish books…yikes! But this was an easy read and reminded me why I love a good mystery. All of the characters were likeable and I didn’t expect the ending! I just couldn’t keep all of the names straight because there were so many characters that were important and they all had the same name fr. Either way, I used to love Mary Higgins Clark and this got me back into her writing. I’ll def be looking for more of her stuff!

Loved the story, love the series. In this one, the writing was noticeably worse than the previous six. There were hints of the same kind of "old lady writing" that plague Janet Evanovich, such as using outdated words and phrases and the whole section where an otherwise competent and clever 22 year old who clerks for a judge has no idea what a microSD card is and looks at it baffled for a second before giving up and bringing it to her "tech-savvy big brother." If they truly didn't know what it was, what competent zoomer wouldn't see it and search immediately online for any of the text on the actual card? Makes no sense at all. She acted like it was an unidentifiable relic of an ancient civilization.

I actually really enjoyed this one. It was a fun mystery game of trying to figure out what really happened. It sort of reminded me of the Menendez brothers case in a very loose sense, which I liked because I’ve been following that for a while. The writing for this book flowed really nicely and made it really easy to read. Short, simple chapters kept me really engaged.
