I'm giving this five stars just for being a method that really seems to understand what I'm experiencing...finally! It actually makes sense and gives me hope like even therapists haven't been able to do. I felt like I was going to just have to deal with panic attacks forever...but Barry even touches on that fear as well! I can't wait to implement his steps and I sincerely hope this works for me and everyone who suffers from GAD and/or panic attacks. If you know someone who struggles with these issues, PLEASE pass this book along to them. I've been trying to fight panic attacks for years and have felt hopeless, like I'm losing the battle. Then Barry comes along and tells me how to stop fighting and start living again.

Dare, is a great positive book about how to treat anxiety. I am hoping to start again with this book. Great tips in it and a great explanation of how to do things. Lots of examples and the writer really understand anxiety. Thank you Barry for providing me a free copy during corona virus.

It really feels like this book was written specifically for me. I manage panic attacks better every day thanks to this book. If you suffer like I suffered then read this book.

I am clinically diagnosed with an anxiety disorder. Sometimes, out of nowhere, I get panic attacks and worry most of the time.

I give this book a 4.5. Now, the core message of this book (DARE: Diffuse, Accept, Run-Towards, Engage) is good. I've applied it for several days, and it really works for me (less anxiety, controlled fear, more productive, etc.). That alone is worth a 5.0 since this is exactly what I'm looking for.

The minus was: I only needed to read Chapter 1, and that's it. The content in the middle part of the book is repetitive (different cases, same solution) and doesn't hold anything new if you read chapter 1.

I get quite taken aback by how simple the method is. In a way, the bold claim "EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE A BOOK COMES ALONG THAT COMPLETELY TRANSFORMS THAT FIELD" sounds like an oversell. Yet, this simple method works. I gave it the benefit of the doubt; maybe the best solution is the simple one.

The good news is that there is also some content and motivation in the last part of the book, which makes the end quite sweet.
