If you are ever trying to catch me, just put out a Looney Tunes-style cardboard box held up by a stick, and slip a book like this under it. I will willingly fall into the trap. And I will stay there until I finish reading. The end was a bit silly, but that’s all right.

I devoured this book in barely two days and it might be my favorite I've read this year so far. I loved the chemistry between Miles and Charlie (they remind me of a couple of my favorite fandom OTPs so I was almost instantly on board), and while I've seen some reviews lament that it wasn't spicy enough I personally didn't feel like the story lacked in sexiness and smut at all (and I've read some *really* raunchy things before). I adore the characters and care deeply for them; I laughed and cried and loved flipping each page to see how it would end. Everyone who deserved a happy ending got one, and sometimes that's hard to find in books with queer rep. I can definitely see myself coming back to this book as a comfort of sorts, and I'm so glad to have happened upon it.

4.5 stars rounded up purely because i adored the ending so much. I took me a while to read the last quarter of the book because i was dreading to see where it was going but it was well worth it!

Loved that one of the protagonists was an erotica writer and that the other was an avid fan of said writing. This was cute, even though I'm not a fan of the third-act breakup and in this case it felt a bit forced.
