I really enjoyed this. I liked that this book was primarily about the ingenuity of its FMC, less about outside conflict. It’s also very sweet, in a way I didn’t really expect, all about two individuals from very different cultures, committed to finding their common ground and making a life work together. Swoon!

This was such a cute read! I was expecting it to be just one of those short smutty books but I was pleasantly surprised with a healthy relationship and a bit of political drama. 10/10 highly recommend this book and am reading through the rest of the series.

oh my goodness this was such a fun book!! this story tackles cultural differences so well. as well as the obvious species difference lol. from appearances, to intimacy and also how differently they work socially. it’s always so fun to see how fmcs teach their non-human counterparts about kissing or just like, words 😭

i loved that susan was a farmer!!! such a great aspect of this book; also just super important to the plot lol.
even though susan desperately wants olix and his people to warm up to farming again she doesn’t force it, she can only hope for the best and pray that they’ll come around eventually when they see the fruits of her labor. literally.
I didn’t expect to like this, but saw some people I follow rate it really high. It was so good! Olix was actually so sweet and adorably befuddled by humans. I loved how Susan embraced his culture. There was so much plot.
