This is cute. It is not my favourite of the series but they all have to start somewhere. A feel good, easy read when you just need to escape for a few hours.
Wow this was surprisingly one of the best monster romance fics I’ve read. And it served! There was plot, fluff, and smut!!
Third daughters are just an extra mouth to feed on the farming colony of Meterion. Susan's eldest sister will inherit the farm and the middle sister is the back up. With no prospects and indentured servitude on the horizon, Susan seeks the matchmaking services of the Prime Mating Agency. She's matched with Olix, a lizardman whose hunting clans and lands are threatened by colonizers.
Well this was just adorable and heartwarming! The best way to describe I Married a Lizardman is as a steamy Hallmark-style marriage of convenience between two races. Both Susan and Olix are willing participants, allowing their relationship to progress without unnecessary drama.
Susan doesn't know what to expect when she takes her lizard-alien husband but is respectful of their culture and traditions. All she wants is to help her new people as best she can, without stepping on any toes... claws? Olix is a cinnamon roll who holds the massive burden of his people on his shoulders. He goes out of his way to ensure his new wife is comfortable and I just want to squish him. Susan and Olix navigating their sexual preferences and her virginity was adorable and enjoyable to read through open door scenes.
Susan at the market is a whole vibe and I need to channel it the next time I have to do a presentation. The generational trauma experienced by the clans is really well handled and the take down of the colonizers is satisfying. I have seen some reviews talking about white saviourism so keep that in mind should you pick this up.

This was a read for my book group. I will say that I would have never read something like this if someone in my group didn't picket for our 12-month challenge (these books are just not for me).
