So I bought this as a joke when ice planner barbarians exploded on tiktok. I did not expect the beautiful story that the author weaves along with the romance. She did not let down with the spice and romance aspect of this book. But in my opinion he true beauty is in the story itself. She focused on the native species in this planet fighting outsiders try to destroy their way of life and an outsider understanding and respecting their culture and beliefs who stands up and helps them fight for their way of life.

Honestly, for a book called "I Married a Lizardman" I don't have many qualms. It was a cute, lighthearted story about strangers buildings a friendship and eventually love. I could have done without all "my man" this and "my man" that and some of the bumbling between the two of them, but otherwise this was a fun read.
