Of all the child/parenting books I’ve read this year, this one is easily a favorite. I love that she uses data and journals and reviews and a number of anecdotal evidence to present information without give a “right or wrong” choice. She leaves space for you to see all sides of argument or approach. It’s a great guide to open conversations and dialogue with your partner about parenting.

Lighthearted data-driven guide, very reader-friendly (which I was not expecting due to the data-driven aspect). Helpful to read as a caregiver and I’m sure many parents would benefit from reading!

Read this in spurts throughout my first year of parenthood. I loved Expecting Better since everything was new and unknown and there really is a lot of advice about the medical aspects of pregnancy so it was useful to dig into that— but I found Cribsheet a bit afloat in comparison. Not a lot of real science or data, a lot more deferential to common sense. Good to read if you’re a neurotic parent but otherwise not worth it, wouldn’t recommend
