Like Heretics of Dune, the quality of the books is up to power, perhaps not to the original book itself but still good nonetheless. However, the similar issue of getting very far removed from lots of original characters due to time jumps makes it rank a tad lower. One of the biggest issues with the book and the reason why its in the 3 star bracket would have to be the ending. it ends with a cliff hanger that never gets resolved. I believe this book was to be the middle book of a trilogy with Heretics, Chapterhouse and "Dune 7" but the author sadly passed away. I might of ranked it higher if the following books were actually in line with Frank Herbert's plan but alas they are not and does a massive disservice not only to Chapterhouse itself but the series as a whole.
