Lovely twist at the end. Also, is Detective Inspector Robert Poole, that curmudgeon and stick in the mud actually showing signs of becoming human in the final chapter???

Quite good, but at times felt a bit overly complicated. Fun to revisit old characters though.

Really good and as enjoyable as the previous titles in this series, although I don’t know if the author will ever do a 5th book. Phil Fox does an excellent job with the narration - the characters come alive and I definitely recommend listening to the audiobook if you can.

A perfect book if, like me, you're a big fan of the TV series, Death in Paradise. This is a story from the original series, and it's great fun meeting all our favourite characters again. Plus the crimes are as devious as ever. The only niggle I had with it is that Richard Poole certainly wouldn't do anything illegal - as he has to do here to make the plot work. However, that aside, I enjoyed it and I loved the ending. Looking forward to the next one already!
