Backman's signature humor (...well, this *was* one of his earlier books) embedded all throughout. Sometimes didn't fully understand the connections between little anecdotes in each chapter. Enjoyed the short in-between sections ("note to self," tidbits of conversations between Backman and his wife, etc.).

”you and your mother are my greatest, most wonderful, scariest adventure. i’m amazed every day that you’re still letting me follow along.”

i don’t have a son. i don’t even have a child. i’m not even a son. but this was great. i loved this. it made me smile, laugh and cry. it was sweet.
