Funny, quick, enjoyable, and heartfelt. I recommend the audio. The narrator is great at getting across the author's dry humor.

Great book. It feels like if the author is not telling his story but rather describing your life . Is packed with silly humor and it would keep you smiling and turning the pages

I have read numerous books by Fredrik Backman, of which My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry made a major impression on me and was my favorite. I was glad to have another of his books to nestle in with a read.
As a Mom and Grandmother, I enjoyed reading this open letter from Backman to his son (am guessing this is his first child of two). There were passages that had me grinning with acknowledgment, not for the exact circumstances but rather for the overall evocation of a loving, overjoyed, tired, befuddled, first-time parent. Been there, done that, and it was enjoyable to have those memories brought back to consciousness.

I found this to be a sweet and moving memoir, though I did enjoy Mr. Backman's other works more (Beartown, Us Against You). This was a fast, easy read and certainly relatable, being in the throes of new parenthood myself. I found parts of it to be a little boring, some of the little aside stories he would tell. But overall, fairly enjoyable and certainly the love for his family shone through.
