Overall Rating: 2.25 (Edited from 2.5 to 2.25 because.... I can)

This book was a fucking fever dream... not in a good way....

I gave it .5 stars for Remy alone... best character đź‘Ś
-----------------------------------------
Booktok you have done it again.... I felt like this book was mis-marketed SO much because I was expecting an obsessive MMC.... not a rapey one.... I'm apart of the Killian hate club... if this man has no haters then that's a fucking lie because I'd still hate this man in the GRAVE. Idk what Glyn saw in him but hey.... KEEP HIM cuz you'll never see me fawning over that man...

Let's move to the characters... Now.. I won't pretend to be a physiatrist or a therapist because idk the first thing of how to treat a person who lacks empathy or shows signs of sociopathy or psychopathy.... BUT WTF WAS THE TREATMENT OF THE MMC? Your telling me Killian opens up animals and his parents say "he'll supress his urges by hunting and then he'll be ok..." HUH???? SAYS WHO???? PUT THAT MAN IN A FUCKING PSYCH WARD. Miss me with that shit... And then your telling me his urges go away after "having sex" with Glyn... (If you can even call it that).... Yea... the math isn't mathing here... something aint right... THEN KILLIAN CALLS IT LOVE?!?!? Alrighty... sure.... And all of this stems from his inferiority complex with his older brother and his daddy issues.... HOW FUCKING CLICHE BRO.... Dude is one of the worst MMCs I've ever fucking read about like ughhh... the faster I can forget about him... the better....

Now onto Glyn... She was wasted potential... In the beginning girly had mommy issues but also was in a deep depression due to her BFF dying and I was honestly locked in for this potential murder mystery plot and working through her angst... only to find out that NAHHHH AUTHOR SAID SIKE... That plot went into the fucking garbage and then popped out of no where... Like hello?! Where is the developed plot I was promised?? Enough of the fucky fucky and GET TO SOLVING. Glyn became so 2 dimensional she was a bit of a bore to read. She and Killian work pretty well together ig... considering she became weird... The only good thing about her was that towards the end of the book she finally stood up for herself and recognized how toxic some of her relationships were (except or the FUCKING BLACK FLAG OF THE MALE LEAD). How she didn't think to drop Killian... ig we'll never know ...

The only good thing about this book were the side characters. Remi was FUCKING HILARIOUS! I loved his banter and thought he had a pretty funny personality.... ANOTHER BIG PLUS IS THAT HE DOESN'T COME OFF AS A RAPIST :D... I want his book... Gimme his book... Gimme it TODAY and I'll gobble it df up...

Also Glyn's brother... he's pretty chill and I saw people saying he's in a gay romance with other one of the toxic bunnies... :'D... Let's hope his book is better...

Format:
Audiobook

Overall:
I was very skeptical at first but I ended up liking it in the end. I really like how Rina showcased the MC's psychosis. She holds true to his tendencies and behavior throughout the entire book instead of letting it falter halfway through to prevent the reader from losing interest. Virgin trope. :| I found the FMC whiney. University students. I'd like older characters.

I enjoyed almost every second of seeing Killian being a fucking menace, and every time he said something like “high un/recommended” made my day for some reason. Also, can we talk about the “little rabbit” thing! It’s so cute! I loved Glyn’s relationship with her brothers and seeing them look out for each other in their own ways. I can’t wait to see more of them in the next book. Nikolai’s character reminds me of Mikey from tmnt if he were evil. The book starts of pretty dark but gets easier. I do feel like this ain’t a series I can’t read back to back, but I’m not entirely sure why. One of the main things that bothered me was how he manipulated her brothers, but I’m not sure why. It’s part of the reason I’m giving it 3.5 instead of four. The other is that his forcing her to do things and inserting himself into her social circle felt like it was a bit much at times, mostly after chap 26. I’m the most I excited to read about Jeremy in GOW but I’m also pretty interested in Creighton and Annika’s story, partially since I’m sure he’ll play a big part in it. I’d also like to read about him as a brother from Annika’s perspective before seeing him from Cecily’s povs. Mostly since I have an idea of how she views him from this book, and also because I love protective big brother characters.
