“Everytime I look at her, I’m reminded of the difference she made in my life.”

Man, when I say this book was fucked up, I’m not exaggerating. But I did enjoy reading it and I think it opened a whole new world for me, even though I was shocked a lot of times while reading it!

The storyline was okay, sometimes a bit all over the place and it made me have a hard time understanding what was happening. I also went into this blindly, so I didn’t know what to expect, but it’s not like I was fully disgusted by all the things that were going on.

Will definitely be reading the other books! Something about these books caught my attention!

ೃ༄ Glyndon (what a name is that, by the way?) was a character I really liked. She showed her struggles with mental health, but also with everything going on with Killian, and as I keep repeating, I like seeing that in books. I did find her a tiny bit annoying when she kept being super distrustful even though it was proved enough that she doesn’t have to be. Get it together girl!!

ೃ༄ I didn’t know what to think of Killian at first. We start off with him in the worst way possible, but after a while he shows you that besides all his fucked up problems, actions and flaws, he is capable of taking care of someone (learning how to cook for them? OMG!) and ‘loving’ them (in the capacity a psychopath can love someone). I like seeing the character development and how he realized how much Glyn helped him.

Wow ok, I’m embarrassed to say this had me in an absolute chokehold. Holy fuck i became instantly obsessed with these characters!!!!!

Was the writing wattpad-esque? Absolutely. The mafia subplot extremely weak? Certainly. But I honestly can overlook all of that for my man Killian Carson

3.7 - went into it with the authors note in mind. Had to get past a thing or two but ended up really liking it and will definitely be going through the rest of the series. Who doesn't love a guy who would burn down the world to protect you.

Personal pet peeves:
Repetitive use of the same lines
Pacing

“…no amount of forts I could build would be able to resist the war that is Killian Carson.”

I’m conflicted when it comes to rating this book.

Was it good? yes

Did it hook me from the start? yes

Did it keep my attention? unfortunately no

When edging closer to the middle of the story I found myself skimming. The writing was good. It flowed nicely . My issue stems more with the characters. I love Glyndon and her growth throughout the story. And Killians disturbed self while annoying at times was still humorous from time to time. But them together was starting to get boring and repetitive.

The worst thing that can happen while reading about the main characters is to be more intrigued by the side characters. And I was. Ava, Cecily, Remi (even though the humor felt forced), Eli, Annika, Nikolai, Brandon, Landon, etc. basically everyone except Glyndon and Killian had my attention. I was more intrigued by the potential for their stories then I was about the couple who’s story I was reading, and that sucks because I wanted to love them.

Either way this story was a decent start to the Legacy of Gods series. Hence the 3 star rating.

I will be eagerly awaiting the next book in the series, God of Pain. I feel like I know who the couple might be but I don’t want to jinx it.

Holy shit.
I was not expecting to like Killian and Glyndon as much as I did. Their story had me hooked and I can safely say that Killian climbed the ranks in becoming one of my top 5 Rina Kent men.
I can't understand the hate these two get on other socials, because I love, love, loved these two and how they both brought out the better and, worse sometimes, in eachother.
Those two stole my heart and might become my favourite couple, even though no one beats Adrian and Lia in my eyes.
Don't think I'll be over them for a long time and I can safely say the book is definitely worth every penny!
