Urgh I hated this book.
I started this series out of order with God of Fury and loved it. It may be my favorite book of all time. I relate to Bran and have a lot of the same personality traits as him being lgbtq struggling with self harm in the past and just hating conflict.

The thing I loved about God of Fury is Niko was brutal to others but he never was mean to his Bran he treated him so well and would do anything for him and they both pushed each other to be better people.

However in this book the MMC is straight up evil to the FMC. I do not relate to either character at all and I am not a fan of bullying and degradation. I am realizing I like “dark” romance but if it’s bully romance I hate it. This is a bully dark romance so just know that going into it.

Only plus of theirs book is the side characters getting to see Niko and bran before they got together 💕

Not sure if the other books are like this one or not so not sure if I should continue the series.

So wrong, but oh so right.

Morals? What morals?

Overall: 4/5
Would I reread? Yes!
Spice Level: 4/5

This one is for the girlies who like the darker romances and who loved to be chased.

I loved that Glyndon was exposed to Killian’s psycho in the very beginning! No runarounds about a secret side of him. He was himself, in all his dark twisted ways.

I kind of wished that Glyndon had a bit more to her character other than being the innocent virgin. Kind of cliched at this point, but it was nice to see her grow into herself the more she spent time around Killian.

Can we just stop for a second and appreciate the level of spice this book has!!! I mean, “Eyes on me when I fuck you, baby.”

But I will say a line that made me cackle was, “Don’t just lick it like it’s a popsicle.”

Not only was this book spicy, but it also felt a little loving. The character development between Glyndon and Killian (mainly Killian’s) can make me swoon with how attentive he is towards Glyndon. Making her lunch every day because she doesn’t take care of herself. Like are you serious!!

I love how possessive and obsessed Killian is of Glyndon (I know, I know. It’s toxic. Therapy has already been scheduled.)

Some of the dialogue was a little cringe for me but was easily able to get over it.

Overall, this book was a great read when wanting something darker. The level of psycho, possessive, and obsessive is perfect and add the spice….

I am looking forward the reading the rest of the series….especially if they are similar to this.
