I received this book in exchange for an honest review from netgalley
And honestly. I loved it!!!!
Millie or milly? I don’t remember. Has a mother. As we do. Only hers is a serial killer. And when milly turns fifteen, she turns her mum in and the story follows from there
The style of the book was great. It was written from Millie’s viewpoint and her jumbled thoughts.
The ending was also great.
I’d welcome a prequel. What was life like for Millie when she was at home? What happened in the playground?

Good Me, Bad Me was a quick and enjoyable read. At parts, it had me on edge and I would say it did a great job transporting you into the world. Now I can say to some extent it was predictable but I still enjoyed the read. It's a good book to help get out of a reading slump and a nice introduction to the thriller genre. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and story, disturbing- yes, I believe it was handled well. Overall, I found this book at the dollar store and can say I'm happy I grabbed it.

Honestly...there's a few questions that I have most directed at the characters. But my other issues involve the pacing.

The first half of this book to me was very reminiscent of Eleanor Olyphant is completely fine, but as the book take a darker turn and things became more convoluted, it became less interesting and more confusing. An okay first effort, solid three stars from me.

I truly thought this book was amazing. So well written and narrated (if you listen to the audiobook). Every page has you gripped in the story. It gives a great representation of what it may be like for someone to live with trauma and have to go about their day to day with seemingly minor aspects causing a reminder or flashback to a scenario. You are rooting for the main character the entire time but also watching her grapple with how to be good when what you've been taught is less than moral. Definitely dark and upsetting, but absolutely gripping and fascinating. A high recommendation. Shoutout to the audiobook reader, Imogen Church for giving a chilling voice to the mother and overall the characterizations and pacing/suspense was spot on.
