Another well written novel from Terry. This time about conflict between dwarves and trolls, escalated because of history and conservative ideologies. Seems very relevant right now.

 Now this I loved.
You'd think that the whole dwarf-troll conflict got old with how often it's a central plot aspect in the Discworld books, but somehow it just works ever time.
Next to the plot about Koom valley, there were seval aspects I enjoyed in particular: the two main ones being Vimes always wanting to be on time to read his son his daily bedtime story, and Angua struggling with accepting the new vampire recruit, Sally (as, naturally, werewolved and vampires do not get along).
Overall great execution, though maybe the whole berserker/dark thing could have been a bit clearer.

Parts of this book were genius...but it is Terry Pratchett after all! Felt it lost its way though and muddled its way through to the end.
