I’m glad I listened to this classic (narration by Jim Dale) rather than read it myself: I would have slaughtered the pronounciations of Passpartout and Miss Aouda’s names!
The story was a fantastic adventure that would have been doubly so if he had allowed time to see the sights as he went along! Glad I finally read this one. [Boy I seem to be saying that with every classic I finish!]

Prejudiced, sexist and worst of all, boring. I feel this story is an interesting study for someone interested in a comparative study of life in 1872 and now but has otherwise lost its relevance to the modern reader.
