4.5 stars. Everyone has been raving about Laura’s new book/series. And for good reason! In the beginning I wasn’t sure I’d like the male narrator but he grew on me. So did the group of boys. Chapter 21 was by far my fave!! 🥵😍 I loved the found family of the “brothers” and Beefcake. IYKYK. Can’t wait for the next book!

Tropes - sports, found family, enemies to lovers, small town
My love for the small towns Laura creates knows no limits!
One book in and I’m already obsessed with Magnolia Falls!
I loved literally everything about this story line. Touching on hard topics is never easy but it was done so well in this book! I can’t wait to get to know this found family even better!

I love this fabulous start to a brand new series! Laura Pavlov definitely knows how to write a small town romance. This has everything: enemies to lovers (some family rivalry drama), small town, bad guy with a good girl and some swoon worthy moments with plenty of spice. I loved Romeo and Demi together! There were times when I wished Demi would stick up for herself and not let her family run things, because she came across as weak and gullible but she definitely become stronger and tougher as the book went on which I loved for her own personal growth. Every side character was awesome, to include my little man Cutler (I'm sorry, his name is Beefcake!) and I can't wait for their stories. I loved the plot and Romeo training for his fight. This was such a great start to this new series and I'm looking forward to more!

This book was so good! Romeo and Demi had instant chemistry, even though he had preconceived notions about her because of her family. He wasn’t very nice to her when they first met, but soon admitted he had reasons beyond her control for why he didn’t like her. They formed an unusual friendship, her being the good girl from a wealthy family, and him being sort of a bad boy with a troubled past. They are the epitome of opposites attract. While she is bubbly and friendly, he keeps to himself and doesn’t let a lot of people in. He soon realizes that, despite their differences, he likes her a lot. What I really loved about this book is both Demi and Romeo’s dedication to their craft. Demi is a proud business owner of a coffee shop, and she opened the business without much help from her family. At only 22, she wanted to do it on her own and had great success. Romeo is dedicated to the gym that he owns and, subsequently, is dedicated to making himself the best boxer he can be. He trained HARD and didn’t let the outside noise get to him. Demi was always there for Romeo, helping him fuel his body with good food and helping him train. Even though she didn’t always like what she saw while he was training, she stuck by him to make sure he knew she was in his corner. The two of them formed a deep connection in a short amount of time, and even when people tried to bring them down, they stuck it out and tried to weather the storm together. This was such a great start to the series! Romeo has such a tight-knit group of friends, and I am excited to read about them and the women that bring them to their knees!

Romeo is a book boyfriend you are going to want to know. He’s a bad boy, fierce to protect those he loves, dirty mouth and a fighter. He is total swoon.
And we can’t have our bad boy without our sweet and innocent girl, Demi. Demi is a go getter, coffee shop owner that loves deeply and sees the best in everyone. Demi is fighting to make her own way in the world despite having a family full of money and power.
This book is really well written. In this book you get a love story, filth, some angst and a really good backstory that keeps you guessing about what is coming next. There are a lot of characters that I believe we’ll see in the next books, however many there may be, and I think we are going to fall in mad love with this series!! This book is mixed with sweet, mystery, bad boy vibes, family drama and so much more. I love all of Laura’s books though…she just has a way with her writing that makes you want and need more!!!
Highly recommend reading because this book is better than my review leads in because we all know Laura is an amazing writer!!!

Loving Romeo was so good! Its main theme in this series will be a guy group. Which I think is a great change up from a family series. These guys ARE a family, though, don't get me wrong. We've met Romeo in Laura's past series. He's Lincoln's brother that we met in Cottonwood Cove book 3 (if you haven't read it, don't worry, go and read it after, lol).
He's a former boxer who's running a gym. And he's got his family and his guys. But someone moves next to his gym. And it's a Crawford. The Crawfords are town royalty, and they also have a history with Romeo. And not a good one.
Demi Crawford has worked her butt off to get her coffee place up and running. But why does her grumpy new neighbor not even want a free cup of coffee?
Romeo surprised me with how he started to feel for Demi. I was really pleased with how their relationship developed. Demi is also close to her family (and would do so much for them!), but there's a lot of secrets in the Crawford bunch.
The best part for me (besides Demi and Romeos' relationship) was the guys! It's a friendship that's been built with time, and you can tell how strong it is. It's really shown when Romeo is challenged.
The second best part is the son of one of the guys. Heartbreaker. I can't tell anymore. Go and try this series!
