Love in Spades is a fun, bodyguard-esque retelling.

It was a nice read. I've always loved Charlie's books but maybe I read too much? This seems like another THIRDS series. A group of military men who are keen on protecting their loved ones. Some have some deep issues, etc. I like this one but there's something missing.

4/5 because the mystery took forever, 75% of the book was just them chilling on the beach (which has it's own appeal but wasn't what I expected after reading THIRDS where the action's a bit more evenly distributed).

Merged review:

Cute and fluffy, but needed a bit more build-up. Kit/Seth obviously had chemistry, but I didn't feel as connected to them as the Four Kings boys (I mean this is a short story but this felt a small step above Insta-Love).

I loved these two men, Ace was such a balls to the wall type of man and Colton was just exciting enough to keep him on his toes. The banter at the beginning between these two was great but you could tell they were going to finally go at it.
I really enjoyed reading about all the other guys at King's security, I can't wait to read more about King. While they all have their personal demons I think his is going to the most exciting.
While the book is not an insta-love it is close, the two main characters had awesome chemistry, there were sparks flying from the first introduction.

That was a great read… or uuhm audiobook.

Sweet dislike at the beginning, funny banter, followed by flying sparks everywhere, sweet sweet lovin’ and a little drama at the end. Perfect. I loved it.

And drunk Colton right at the beginning in that club and on the drive home? Hilarious!! I was laughing so hard.

The narration by Greg Boudreaux was also really great. I’m excited for the next installment in this series.
