MCs:
Everly & Shepherd

Subpar Synopsis:
When Everly’s sister makes an awkward request, she doesn’t know how to approach her ice cold boss, Shepherd, to fulfill it. However, after a series of bad relationships, he ends up making an arrangement with her to fake being his girlfriend in exchange for a favor. Moving in and faking it to his family, they start to cross the boundaries between the charade and their actual feelings.

Review:
This one was cute and a nice palette cleanser. It was mostly lighthearted and the darker themes weren’t really explored. I liked the chemistry between the MCs but it seemed kind of weird in pacing. I guess you could argue there was a some forced proximity to help move them along though.

Overall: 4.0/5 - Not exactly a standout but still a quick and cute read.

Did I just read this on one sitting ??? Yes, I did, yes. Shepard and Everly were both amazing. I always adored the boss x assistant trope and I ate this book up and the spice

Holy Smile Much!! This was the sweetest thing!

I finished this book within hours, did not eat, I think I have a bladder infection bc I am pretty sure I have held it this whole time and so well worth it. I can't say anything at all negative about this book. I might be a bit sore from smiling soo much. Just a great romantic read. If your ever stressed out and need to unwind, this is a great book to lose yourself in!!! A MUST READ!!!!!!!

Where are the words?

I need To find the words to adequately describe how much I loved this book. Sometimes when I start a new series I get a little hesitant. However, this book had me enamored from the very 1st page. Everly is adorable and tough as nails. Shepherd was robot like on the outside, but a big marshmallow on the inside, especially when it came to Everly.

I connected so hard with Everly in this book. I've had numerous disasters in the dating world myself. I saw a lot of myself in her and her fun, always happy lifestyle. Shep was so fun to read about, he was a nice twist on the alpha a-hole boss, where you didn't hate him right away and then slowly warm up to him. I was immediately on his side, and loved watching their feelings for each other grow. It was great inner dialogue with both and there wasn't the typical angst of it which is a nice change of pace. I loved all the side characters and can't wait to read more of the Dirty Martini Running club!
