I decided to give it a chance even though the first chapter didn’t make me like him and I was worried about her still doing all the PA things for their own fake relationship but luckily he is capable and does grow on you.
The donor thing was a bit much for me. Like he’s a stranger….they literally have registries for this….. barring that being weird it’s also very inconsiderate for her sister to even ask that. But honestly I was here for the vibes and the tropes and those didn’t disappoint. Love her “damn right he was gonna pay me”

This book had the chance to be so good, and it had its moments, but it fell very flat. You barely see the couple go on dates or actually talk to each other. It’s all “we’ve been on three dates” and “we talked about this” but the dates aren’t actually written about and you don’t see the couple actually spending time together. But then the couple are madly in love with each other? When did that happen? We didn’t see any of that so the book felt like there was no chemistry. And the guitar/bass playing band and man cave was just weird and gave me major ick. Why can’t authors do anything original that isn’t super cringey?
