I got Say yes as a freebie like most of the people here.
I just needed to read something to get into to mood for more reading. Say yes is a short story about a girl who goes ona wedding and has a one night stand then realizes the next morning that he looks allot like the groom to be.
I didn't really like this short story, it was fine and i only read it because it was short and I already started it. I don't know what I expected but not this. On the plus side It did get me into the mood to pick up an other book so its did its job that I wanted to do.

Another Elle Kennedy in one year? Did I hit my head? Nope. I just found the eBook available on my library’s app. I’m willing to read more Elle Kennedy as long as it’s free. Maybe that was a little harsh. I actually really enjoyed this one. My problem was its length (less than 60 pages) and the fact that we skirted over some of the most hilarious scenes. This short story is about a girl who’s in town for her childhood best friend’s wedding and who wants to blow off some steam before the big weekend absorbs her completely. She swipes right on a dating app and matches up with another out of towner who just happens to be staying at the exact same hotel. They have one night of passion during which he asks her out but she made the rules clear at the start of the night: this is simply a one night stand. But she’s thrown for a loop when she realizes her one night stand looks a hell of a lot like the groom.
We know the obvious twist here but I’ll still avoid saying it. For a lot of this story’s plot points, I saw it coming a mile away. But I was still there for the ride because Elle Kennedy writes books that I really enjoy reading. Is it the best work of fiction out there? No. Is it the best romance out there? No. But I always have fun reading what she puts out there. Which is what made me so sad about this being a short story. less than 60 pages was not enough. Less than 300 pages would not be enough. Because I can picture exactly how this story would plot out if it were a full novel. I had a good time. There were some obvious flaws and it just wasn’t long enough. But still one of my top rated Elle Kennedy works.

Loved Emilia. She is frank and honest and gives Dirk/Evan a good challenge.
Loved the one-night stand/groom twin twist.
I felt like the song more applied to the friendship between Emilia and Marcy as they’d grown apart, even though it was a loved song by both Emilia and Evan, which was nice because platonic relationships are as important as romantic. There were comparisons between the Willie and Elvis versions, but I’m partial to the Bublé version.
The emotions Emilia felt were written well, Evan wasn’t a one-dimensional man candy character and they meshed well.
