Oh.... em.... GEE!!!!
There are so many things I have to say about this book I just don't even know where to start. First of all can we just take a second to talk about Marie Lu aka the Goddess of Teen fiction literature! All the books I've read by her are amazingly written, fast paced, and just PERFECT in every way!!!
In Legend we are introduced to Day, a rebellious teenager and June, a dedicated and intelligent government agent. This novel is the PERFECT introduction to the rest of the series.
In Prodigy, we see how their relationship progresses and is followed by an amazing adventure where we are introduced to the Patriots, Republics rebels who want nothing more but to return The United States back to its former glorious self.
In Champion, EVERYTHING and EVERYONE comes together for one final fight for the Republic.
I got so attached to June and Day it's so hard to let them go, I can't believe this is the final book! From the beginning Marie Lu didn't let me down with her fast paced writing style. It seems that about ten pages in, the country is already preparing for battle. June and Days relationship FINALLY (and can I say that one more time please?) FINALLY leads to some sultry steamy full blown romance (thank you Maria Lu) ;)
The story is action packed and filled with so many twists and surprises, it was like watching a blockbuster film just unleashing before your eyes. This book made me feel so many emotions I lost count! I felt happy then heartbroken, then afraid, then nervous, then happy all over again! And then there's the ending...... WOW JUST WOW!!!!
Bravo Marie Lu, BRAVO! It leaves you with so many unanswered questions you just want MORE!!!
But based on how it ended, there may not be anymore, thank you for a roller coaster of emotions and one of the most amazing books of our time Marie Lu!

Let's be honest for one sec here...THIS IS MY NEW FAVORITE SERIES. I loved these books so much and I'm a little disappointed that they are done. Something that I found a little odd was that I enjoyed the second book the most, then the first, then the third, if that makes any sense to you. Typically, for me, I enjoy the series most when I first start it and not nearly as much when I finish.
I'm not usually a fan of war and military topics, but I was surprised by my enjoyment with this. This gave me a great new perspective of dystopian governments and how they function.
Marie Lu did a fabulous job of writing the most jaw-dropping plot I've ever seen! I was so surprised with the plot twists; I wasn't expecting any of them! I was completely wrapped up in this series when I read it, I couldn't go a single day without longing for the book.
Finally, the relationships and angsty romances in these books almost had me in tears. I managed to hold in the tears. They weren't so much "sad" as they were bittersweet. I loved how the characters were strong enough to know when they needed to end things. They were constantly thinking of one another; being selfless. I actually look up to the characters for that.
Overall, AMAZING book. I recommend it to everyone!

I loved this whole series! It was a book that got me back into reading during quarantine. Marie Lu’s books are amazing and her writing is amazing too. This book literally broke my heart. I am so glad she made a sequel, can’t wait to read it!

Champion comienza con Day ocupándose con los tratamientos de su enfermedad y con June estudiando para ser la Princeps Electo de Anden. Ocho meses desde que se han visto, las circunstancias que reunirán a Day y June serán las menos esperadas cuando una plaga se desata en las Colonias y estos amenazan con declarar la guerra a la República a menos de que entreguen una cura ¿Será June capaz de pedirle a Day que sacrifique la cosa que más valora en el mundo, incluso después de que ya sacrificó casi todo por el país?
Prodigy nos dejó con todas las dudas sobre que sucedería con June y Day, la República, las Colonias, cómo haría Anden para arreglar el daño que su padre dejo atrás.
Con una trama que mezcla perfectamente la acción con los sentimientos de los personajes, Champion es una conclusión perfecta para la trilogía Legend. En comparación con otros finales, considero que Marie Lo hizo un gran trabajo con éste.
Los puntos relevantes de este libro fueron:
La política a través de los ojos de June: Una de las cosas en las que Prodigy falló fue en mostrar más de como funciona la política y las otras naciones. Conocer cómo funcionan otras sociedades y cuán poderosas son las otras potencias.
Pero la justicia no gobierna a las naciones,Day, ¿verdad? He leido historias sobre las naciones donde a cada persona se le da un arranque de igualdad en la vida, donde cada uno aporta al bien común y nadie es más rico o pobre que nadie. ¿Crees que ese sistema funcionó? ―Sacude la cabeza―. No con la gente, Day. Eso es algo que aprenderás cuando crezcas. Las personas, por naturaleza, son injustas, indignas e intrigantes. Tienes que tener cuidado con ellas, tienes que encontrar una manera de hacerles creer que estas atendiendo a todos sus caprichos. Las masas no pueden funcionar por sí solas. Necesitan ayuda. No saben lo que es bueno para ellos.
Anden como Elector Primo: Anden puesto bajo presión fue una de mis partes favoritas, porque muestra Anden es sólo un chico de 20 años tratando de arreglar errores y fallas de su padre, pero también es un hombre que a pesar de tomar decisiones en base a lo que su país necesita, nunca deja su criterio de lado.
La relación intermitente e inconclusa de June y Day: y con intermitente me refiero a que cada vez que trataban de hablar sobre lo que sentían, siempre un conflicto que los interrumpía. Y el hecho que Day no podía perdonar a June por su participación en la muerte de su familia.
El epílogo fue un punto clave en este libro; nos da un resumen de los que fueron los siguientes diez años en la vida de los personajes. Nos da el balance perfecto. La suficiente información para saber que pasó con los personajes, pero también el final abierto que nos permite imaginar como lo harán a partir de allí.
Y sobre todo me gustaría decir que la forma en que Marie Lu escribe es increíble. Tan simple y poético al mismo tiempo. Puede hacer que un simple hola entre Day y June sea una completa agonía para el lector. Grande.
