My first of Shakespeare’s comedies and I definitely enjoyed it but it just didn’t draw me in as much as I have been with the tragedies I’ve read.

This is more like what I expected [b:Macbeth|8852|Macbeth|William Shakespeare|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1438353902s/8852.jpg|1896522] to be like: quicker-paced with more drama.

i havent read this play since i skimmed it for my college shakespeare class and to be honest it kind of bored me. I definitely prefer shakespeares tragedies to the comedies but even those are preferable to the histories.

jak zawsze pięknie napisane z niesamowitym wpływem na całą historię literatury, ale zbyt rasistowskie i monarchistyczne do zdzierżenia
slow-paced

people hailing this as one of the greatest plays ever written need to get a grip fr . this is giving elementary school assignment

Not the best Shakespeare, but definitely not bad by any stretch of imagination. My favourite is the Merchant of Venice, and considering how different the two plays are, I can see why this ranked lower on my Shakespeare scale.

3.5shhh? It was good and I loved the redemption arc at end and it shows that this was Shakespeare last work clearly. It also felt like bits and piece from his other works which I don’t mind but this had less impact on me. The story was less powerful to me than his other works tbh. I still liked it tho but I felt bored sometimes in between and tbh I didn’t care about Prosper much either.

Ariel and the spirits concept was hella cool and I loved Ariel spirit. I also loved the slave Caliban and his dynamics. Overall it was a great story but a bit less impacting and interesting.
