2.5 stars rounded up. This book was decent, although it took quite a while for the characters to become likable. The nly character I kind of liked throughout the entire book was Bronwyn, and that's because she was like me in high school with the high grades and such (and I also was a political science major in college and I plan on going to law school. I recognize me liking her because she reminds me of me in those aspects is a bias.)

It took me a lot longer to like the other characters, and because of it's ending, especially with the added "where are they now" bit at the end of the book, I'm not sure if I'm interested enough to continue on with the rest of the series, especially since this book did finish off in a way that it could be read as a standalone.

The plot was decent, but the characters really made it hard to care, and while they did get better as the story progressed, it was over 200 pages in that I could say that I liked all the main characters now, which meant I spent over 2/3 of the book not liking most of them. So for now, I'm leaving this series as is. Maybe I'll come back to it another time to read the sequel and the third book. Who knows?

What a fantastic, fun read. The mystery is solid and the character writing is easy and engaging.
I had a book hangover when I finished this one!
