I absolutely loved this one! The plot was a thrilling ride filled with unexpected twists, and I felt like a pinball bouncing around while attempting to solve the mystery. Spoiler alert: I was completely off the mark until the very end! I even caught myself grumbling at the main character and her friends, but then I reminded myself—they are just teenagers, after all!

This book had me on my toes. I couldn’t set it down. The details were so vivid it had my heart pounding. Unfortunately the ending of the book made me question what the whole point of the book was due to the fact of being left on a cliffhanger and now I will forever wonder what happened. If this how all of Natasha Preston’s books end, it makes second guessing to grab another.

* Only read this if cliffhangers don't piss you off. You will walk away from this book with very few answers.

The ending was not my favorite. There was a lot of repetition when writing the main character's thoughts and actions that I found pulled me out of the story.

I liked the foreshadowing and clues that appeared to point to different people. I suspected part of the ending but there was a twist I didn't expect.

The characters are teenagers living in a small town where last year, a series of murders occurred in the week leading up to halloween. This year, the murders start to repeat despite the killer being locked in prison.

I would say the author knows how to draw you in. So many twists and turns that when the ending happens you get hit by a bus with emotion.
