Seemed like it would be an interesting read. Just couldn't get into the "teen" drama of it all. YA fiction isn't my typical read.

The book started out really well, but the more I learned about the characters, the less real they felt. Their actions didn't make sense, but the book was very readable, so I kept reading. I know a lot of horror has open endings, but there is a difference between an open ending and lazy writing, and this ending was not done well. It dropped the book from a 2.5 to a 1 star for me.

I gave this book an honest try. I really, really did. I did my best to try to finish it, but sadly....dnf. It was just so repetitive and boring. There were parts that really made me sit up in my seat while reading and then immediately it was back to being uninteresting. Maybe if the book was a tad bit shorter, it would've helped it to be atleast a 4 star for me. The idea was cool. Unfortunately, it just did not keep me engaged. I will give this author another try with another book. Maybe I will have a better experience with that one.

I swear this author just lives to write terrible endings. Absolute insane. Never in a million years would I have thoroughly that would happen. But I’ve read so many books by this author that I expected the bad ending.

This just didn’t work the way all her other books normally do. It was slow to get into, and I feel like not much was happening for the first half of the book. Usually books by this author pick up fast and happen in like the span of two days, but this one was different. It was just slow. I think the plot was good, just did not pick up fast enough to grab my attention. Possibly my least favorite from this author. 3 stars
