3.5/5 stars. Not sure if I’m going to edit this rating a bit later.
I want to give this 4 stars but this had a horrible ending. I understand “open” endings.. but this was just not done well at all. It felt like the author hit a page limit and had to immediately end the story where it was. I thought we’d at least get an epilogue or something after that end, but there was nothing.
Other than that, the story was fun. It gave me classic Scream vibes so if you’re a fan of the original Screams, you should like this. But this was definitely more juvenile than Scream. Scream felt more like college students and this book read more like traditional high schoolers. That wasn’t a problem for me at all though. Scream was a classic that I absolutely loved so I’m very glad that this story gave me the same kind of experience.

Loved the vibes, spooky thriller slasher type. Only issue is cliffhanger so if you don't like that avoid it lile the plague

What a fun & thrilling story to read for the end of spooky season! This book had me wanting to flip to the next page every time to see who was going to end up being the next target or what new clues I was going to uncover.
Penny or Pen, the FMC and really the main character of this story was someone who I thought was great, but also she made so many stupid decisions. Like I completely understand wanting to make sure your friends are safe, but her parents were made out to be these bad guys for wanting to protect their daughter from a killer. I did however like her determination in unveiling the killer, and not letting any relationships stand in the way.
The other characters were also likeable — Nash, Adi, Zayn, Grace, and Omar. All were pretty much on the same level of appreciation of their input in the story, though I lowkey get the vibe that Zayn had it out of Pen wayyyyy more than Nash did. Like I get they’ve been in a relationship, but the tension between Penny and Zayn… but just my opinion lol.
I think the story development was really good, as I kept trying to figure out who it was, and the story directed it towards a certain person, though I was shocked when I found out who it was, or snall I say who the two were

unsatisfying ending w a cliffhanger even tho this is a stand alone novel... also the title is inaccurate cuz there ain't no ghosts OR paranormal activity :| anyways i loved LITERALLY EVERY PAGE up until the last 10 WORDS!!!! i found 2 typos, biggest one at the end of the page at the end of chapter 21
