This book was delightful. Enid was fascinating and her autism was very well-written. The trauma of each character and how they talked about it felt so real. I think every surprise really hit. I couldn't wait to read the next section. The relationship between Enid and Polly had me gushing and the relationship with her sisters made me want to reconnect with my brother. I sent some lines to a friend who had a similar relationship with his mother as Enid had. This is a book that I'll never forget. And that's coming from someone with the memory capacity of a floppy disk.

This book should not have been marketed as “hilarious” and “quirky.”

It is about a neurodivergent woman experiencing a mental health crisis. Heed the content warning tags that I did not.

It was otherwise a fine read, a nice story about confronting the voice in your head that says you’re not normal. Until the end where it’s revealed
that her “best friend” was actually the one breaking into her apartment and causing her paranoia to spiral out of control, which he did not tell her even when he knew that she was panicking. And this is treated as a caring act rather than the INSANELY TOXIC behavior that it is.
