FINALLY! Something is happening in the Vampire Diaries plot! (It only took until the 3rd book). It was still horribly predictable and written so simply, I swear I have brain cells dying from lack of use with these books. I'm sticking it out til then end, however (I guess that's the lack of brain cells talking). This was also the first book of the series to actually come to a conclusion at the end. There didn't need to be a 4th book. The story ended just fine.

:(

I felt the plot was slow moving and the characters became less interesting in this installment for a number of reasons, for example the mystery surrounding Steffan is no longer there.

A Satisfying conclusion to this story.

This book took me three months to read, even with how short it is. Don’t waste your time. Should’ve just thrown it in the DNF pile.

Damon and Stefan fight, then because of Elena they start working together. Basically the entire plot of the book.

Honestly these books are just so bad. I watched the show first and when Elena turned into a vampire in the show it felt like it took forever for her to get to that moment, but in the book it felt so rushed and I felt like it came out of nowhere. I started reading and then BOOM she was a vampire. I don't know it just all felt so rushed. These books so far haven't been my thing they just seem a little boring for me and not that interesting. Also Elena switching up Stefan like that I also felt like that happened way to fast as well. Katherine is what really brings this books to life because if she was not in the book I think it would be very boring.

I probably would have really liked this book when I was in Grade 8, but reading it as an adult it's not my favourite. I would love to read twilight just to see if it's the same as this. Stefan and Damon got along better in the TV show than in the books, and to be honest I am not sure why that is. Damon however will always hands down be my favourite character, in the books and the tv series.

I probably will only continue with the series but on my kindle instead of buying the books. It'll just be easier and I just don't feel like continuing to buy the books when the series for me is not great. Just watch the show it's a little less cringy, or more I don't know it's just good. Happy Reading!!!!!
