overall solid. definitely an ending i was not expecting and left me wondering what now? i was kinda impressed with all the ways katherine disguised herself. i wanted more damon and elena but it was sweet the way it ended with her and stefan.

I thought I’d read 4 of these, not two because I remembered reading two books & the ones I read ages ago were the paperbacks with two books in them. I was wrong. I most definitely did not read this one. I really liked it too! There was so much going on and Elena had some growth and overall I really liked reading it. I don’t know how the story can continue after the ending in this one, but I guess I’ll find out.

These books were such a fun trip down memory lane. But these are a good example of a tv/movie being better than the books. The books make a great framework but they aren't actually that good! The show is incredible but pulls most everything from the novels, the show just expands on it better and makes everything come to life.

Okay Read

This was an alright read. This is the third book of the Vampire Diaries series. In this book, Elena is a vampire now. The story was okay. I did like seeing Damon, Stefan, and Elena work together. In this book, I started to like Elena a bit more than before because she was less self-centered. Also, I liked that Bonnie and Meredith had more scenes in this book. I still feel like Stefan and Elena's story was good. I feel like Damon is still as mysterious as ever. Also, I thought that there could have been more done with the story. It could have been longer to finish the story quicker. Matt is ever a sweet guy who helps out his friends in whatever way he can. I thought the last 25% was the best part of the story. After the ending, I will have to read The Dark Reunion to continue the series and see what happens. I am looking forward to seeing what book 4 brings. I still cannot get over the changes from the TV show and the book. I still prefer the TV show to the book. Overall, an okay read.

didn't love it didn't hate it. Damon is officaly my favorite character. thorought the story all i could think about was how annoying Elena is. the end had a little bit of a "What the ...?" moment but it was intersting.

So far the best written of the series.

Still has a weak plot though. I can give you a very succinct summery that will allow you to avoid this entire book: Elena stops being such a bitch and then she dies.

Ok fine, there was a little more to it. Stefan is his usual self (and by that I mean completely uninteresting), Damon has a little more involvement but not as much as the relationship between he and Elena suggests he should have. Elena decides she's not the center of the universe just long enough to save the town from Katherine (who has got to be the stupidest 500 year old evar) and manages to get herself killed in the process.

Sadly, they're going to bring her back for a fourth book. I'll let you know how it is in a couple of hours.
