On rentre vite dans l'action et le voyage est extraordinaire grâce au recit de Jules Verne. La découverte du centre de la Terre est magique. Mais les personnages dont tellement agaçants ! Et la fin abrupte m'a laissée complètement de marbre... Cela me laisse un goût d'inachevé.
Overall a really fun book. I have certainly heard of this tale, but never taken the time to read it myself. I found one of the mail characters, Axel, to be extremely frustrating throughout the novel. As his uncle is continuously correct in his theories, Axel refuses to trust him and only looks to return to his home. However, I must admit, if a relative of mine insisted on such a journey as this, I cannot say that my temperament would be much different from that of Axels. But, it was a fun read, although my husband complained often of the discrepancies between the books and known science. But, as for me, I think it can be fun to dream of the possibilities of the great What If.
It was alright. It would certainly have been better if id read it when it was published though, the science in it is glaringly outdated. Although it is cool he tried to be so accurate for his time!
