I really enjoyed this one. It would’ve been a 5 star but there were times in the book where I found myself wondering why Leah who is a therapist herself didn’t recognize and recommended that they all needed therapy to work through their feelings about Nova’s return.

An easy read that ended up as a bit of a rom.com even though the premise is much darker.

The book didn't stick with me but was an enjoyable diversion when I read it.

This was an interesting premise to delve into what happens after a woman is found after being presumed dead for 15 years. I listened to this on audio and love that there was dual narration as the chapters switch between the two sister’s point of view. The family dynamics were messy to say the least. It was hard to feel empathetic to some of Nova's family when she’d endured such tremendous loss over the 15 years she was held captive.  Thank you to Brilliance Publishing | Brilliance Audio and NetGalley for the ALC.
