I love second chances and loved this story. I had a smile on my face the entire time I read this. In the author's note, Adriana said she "wanted to write a hug in book form," and she did. The love story of Luke and Laina was nice, sweet, and spicy. The characters are likable and relatable. Laina knows what she wants and is not afraid to make it known. Although criticized, she followed her heart and made the right decisions for her life. Luke is super supportive of Laina. They were separated for years, but when she came back into his life, he jumped at the chance to make her his again. I loved that he protected her but also allowed her space to stand up for herself when necessary. Luke and Laina are perfect for each other, and although the story happens within two weeks, the events that take place all make sense. The banter between Luke and Laina and between Luke and his siblings was fun to read. This is the perfect quick read for those who want a good story with a happy ending.

Thank you, Adriana Locke, for the e-ARC.

I cannot pass up a book by Adriane Locke! Her storytelling, with a lot of spice mixed in, is just what you want. A good dose of HEA!

Laine is a famous singer who returns home for her wedding to Tom Waverly, a famous actor, in what is turning out to be the wedding of the season. So how is it that the bride ends up stuck between two sheds in a huge white dress, looking for an escape? Apparently, her engagement isn’t all roses, yet her near future has her mucking out horse stalls! How did she go from one to the other? You’ll have to read it to find out, and believe me, you will not be able to put it down!

I cannot tell you how excited I was to get an ARC for Adriana! She had been my favorite author for a while now and while I still have books of hers to read, I don’t see how she can write one that I don’t absolutely love. Everything from her writing style, characters, and plot is so well structured that I fall into the fictional world and don’t want to come back. This book is no different. I know it will be another one that I continue to think about months from now. Adriana knows how to write romance but also give you a family and their stories to fall in love with. She always leaves me anxious for her next book!

Laina is a big country singer who goes back to her little hometown to get married, but turned out she becomes a runaway bride. Running and finding safety with the only man who ever made her feel loved.

Luke is that strong and steady hero with heart and patience. He wasn’t expecting his ex showing up on his couch, but he knows if she needed him he’d be there for her. And his nickname for her😍

I loved watching them reconnect, and be reminded why they had works so well even when they were young. And as many young couples do they made some bad decisions that did change their course, but what’s meant to be will always work out.

I loved that there was no third act breakup.πŸ™ŒπŸΌ A little hiccup, but Laina needed to find her confidence to stand up for herself towards her dad + ex and Luke was there supporting and letting her find her voice.

An Addy book would ππŽπ“ be complete without a phenomenal family and banter. The siblings text thread πŸ˜† will have you laughing out loud.

Another great couple in the Marshall family! Luke and Laina are so easy to root for. They're adorable, both together and separately, and their second-chance story is so much fun. That's not to say there are no hurdles to jump. My heart broke for Laina, but at the same time, I was cheering her on as she stood up for herself. I also did a fair amount of cheering when the confrontation I was hoping for happened and some just desserts were handed out. Once you've read this one, I'm sure you'll understand what I'm talking about, and hopefully, you'll be doing some cheering of your own. If you haven't met the Marshalls, I highly recommend it. This is the second in the series, and while things in the first book are referenced, both can be read as standalones - not that you'll want to miss either of them. What it comes down to is Adriana Locke has done it again. A totally lovable couple that I'll be visiting again and again.

I had no idea until someone on social media pointed it out to me. This novel right here gives big Sweet Home Alabama vibes.

This is a really sweet and enjoyable novel. Adriana Locke writes some real comfort into this one.

It's a second chance/celebrity/small town romance. Laina is a music star. She's a big celebrity whose wedding to an actor is really well known. So when she pulls a runway bride, she goes to a place that's really unknown... her ex's Luke's place.

Luke's a sweetheart. I don't want to label him as down to earth, but he's really more than that. He's big with his family and with Laina. The fact that he welcomed her in...It was real swoon!

I loved how Laina picked herself up off and made things right for her. The backbone she grew was very cheer worthy! And Luke wasn't there to stifle her, which I appreciated. He was there to be there if needed.

The chemistry between these two and the light banter. It came from knowing each other so well.

Go give it a try. It's book 2 in a series but I enjoyed it without having to read book 1.

I loved this book so much! It was a quick, easy, feel good read! Laina is famous popstar who happens to be a runaway bride. After she runs out of her wedding, she goes straight to the place she had always felt the safest - Luke's house.  Luke & Laina's relationship fell apart 6 years ago when she left to go become a pop star.  Now she's back and their chemistry and connection is still stronger than ever.  They both have to figure out if what they have can withstand her pop star status and being on the road all the time. Is it worth it?

I love how safe Luke has always made her feel. He's there for her for whatever she needs.  Laina has to  figure out how to take her life back - and he's there every step of the way.  Their chemistry is undeniable. I love Luke's family! I love how warm and welcoming they are.  So much fun seeing his relationship with all of his siblings too.

Great read! I really enjoyed it. If you're looking for a quick, lighthearted read, this is the one for you!
