This Much Is True was entertaining, enjoyable and so easy to read. I loved it. I flew through it pretty quickly and devoured it practically in one sitting except for the first chapter which I read last night. This was such a fun, feel good read and sexy read that also focused on self discovery and rekindled love. It left me with a lovely warm feeling in my tummy and a smile on my lips. I absolutely adored Luke and Laina's journey and can't wait to get my hands on the next book in the series. I very highly recommend it.

This was such a cute, wholesome read!! A really sweet second-chance romance, with a mix of childhood best friends, found family, and of course, takes place on a farm!
It begins with a world famous singer, Laina, trying to escape her wedding, and ending up at her ex-boyfriend / ex-best friend’s house. As they try to stop the sparks from flying, they catch each other up on what’s been happening in their lives - and discover that neither of them has been able to forget the other.
This book was such a cute read, and I devoured it in one sitting. If you’re looking for a sweet and spicy romance with the most lovable family, and realistic sibling relationships, this one’s for you!

Synopsis:
Laina Kelley is a pop star that decides to run away from her wedding after realizing she should have never let it get this far in the first place. She needs a safe place to go, away from paparazzi and an ex-fiancé. The only place she knows to go is the home of her ex-boyfriend, Luke Marshall. After coming home and finding Laina on his couch in a wedding dress, Luke has some questions but agrees to let her stay as long as she helps him work in the barn. The more time they spend together, the more they realize they should have never let each other go.
"I'm not walking away from you again, Laina. Even if you take me to the edges of the earth and demand we stay there, I'll pack your favorite snacks."
"She's doing just fine on her own. That's the thing that neither of you understand. She doesn't need to be saved. Laina is strong and smart, and she can make her own decisions. She can certainly handle the two of you. If she needs me, I'm right here, ready to kill a motherf*cker."
This was the second book in the Marshall Family series but can be read as a standalone (although knowing the other family members makes it better). I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! It was such a sweet, fun, and easy read that I didn't want to end. Luke and Laina's banter kept me laughing throughout (Chapter 11 was the best Adriana!). Laina was a sassy heroine that found her strength throughout this book to stand up and make hard choices for herself. I absolutely loved Luke! He has clearly never stopped loving her. He was playful, sexy, and so supportive of Laina and what she needed to do for herself. They were hilarious. They were steamy (Luke and those ropes!). They were a perfect match for one another. And the cameos from the other series were a nice surprise!! I loved this story and hope to see more of them in the rest of the series! Adriana writes the best family series, and the Marshalls are quickly becoming one of my favorites.
Thank you Valentine PR and Adriana Locke for this ARC to review!!

Laina Kelly realized she couldn't marry the man standing at the alter waiting for her. She felt relieved when she thought about not seeing him again. She ran to the first place that came to mind, who just so happens to be the man that was her first love, Luke Marshall.
Luke Marshall let Laina go because he felt that he would hold her back, his life didn't allow her to spread her wings and fly. Now six years later, he walks into his cabin and Laina is there, he feels it is finally his chance to show her how he feels keeping her in his life.
I loved reading Laina and Luke's story, these two get each other and were able to truly find each other again. I loved how Laina continued to "spy" on Luke to see how he was doing. This Much is True is a fast read but it is written so well you are pulled in and you can't help but love the characters. I loved how she realized the people who were supposed to be closest to her were there for nefarious reasons, so she took steps to rebuild her team who would work to help her build her vision. As Laina took charge of her career and life, she worked on herself and figured out how to be in a nurturing/loving relationship with the one man that she could never forget.

📍“You are very impressive, Ms. Kelley. I’m sure you intimidate a lot of people. And that isn’t your problem.”
So, do you ever associate songs to books? Because I’ve been singing Getaway Car since I picked this one up 👀
“You were drivin’ the getaway car 🎶
We were flyin’, but we’d never get far 🎵
Don’t pretend it’s such a mystery 🎶
Think about the place where you first met me” 🎵
Okay, Luke was not the one driving the getaway car but she did runaway. And they sure did make far 😜 details, details.
What matters here is that I adored this book. It was such the right book at the right time kind of situation. Because sometimes you don’t need angsty or complicated. You need real and fun. You need heartfelt and cozy. And Luke and Laina were a coming-home-hug 🥹
📍“Because one thing is clear to me. My happiness only exists with Laina Kelley.”
I didn’t see that betrayal coming. Boo. That hurt. 😢 But we sure need more momma Marshalls in the world 🥹

Great romance! The flirting and tension between Like and Laina is so amazing and fun. Laina transforms, and it’s great to see her become stronger. I love the run-away bride concept. And who doesn’t love a cowboy? Wonderful, easy, quick romance you can read over the weekend or a day if you’re ambitious.
"I broke my heart because I believed it would save yours."
Now if that doesn't pull at your heartstrings.... Laina Kelley and Luke Marshall were high school sweethearts. When she moved to Nashville to live out her dreams, they thought their relationship could survive. But someone got in the way and convinced Luke that Laina was better off without him. When she runs from the marriage she knew wouldn't bring her happiness, Laina went to the only place and person she knew would welcome her.
"Surround yourself with people who make your soul feel good."
If there was one thing missing from Laina's life it was down to earth people who liked her for her. No airs, no frills. Being with Luke again brought life back to Laina. She was reinvigorated, renewed, and resolved to rid her life of the things and people that no longer brought her joy. She was ready to live life on her terms with the people who mattered most to her. The Marshalls, all of them, held a special place in Laina's heart. They showed her the meaning of family and what it was like to be loved unconditionally. The banter among the siblings and their parents was heartwarming. Their text messages left me laughing out loud.
I am beginning to think that there is no story that the author will write that I won't love. I become so deeply fascinated and engrossed in the stories and characters that come to life between the pages of the author's books that I finished in a matter of hours. But also, know there was a book by the author just waiting on my e-reader was enough to put aside the two books I was reading to devour this one.
Looking forward to what comes next for the Marshall's. Maybe Gavin might eat his words about having kids?

Oh I loved Luke & Laina. This second chance love story was funny and steamy. Luke made her see her truth in a way that brought them back together. Those that were using her well he helped her see that too. She found her family. Laina was funny. Luke was hot hot hot! I love this family!
