Small town Queen has spoken !!
There is a time in everyone’s life when you need to leave the drama at the door, sit down and enjoy a good story. This is the time and this is the story. Adriana is my go to author when I want to read something that makes me feel good. She has the ability to transport you to these small towns and make you want to be a part of these families, it’s a talent that is rare and I love her for it.
Laina is at a crossroads in her life and the only direction she can go is towards her past. What she wasn’t expecting is that there is a chance her past could honestly become her future, a future she couldn’t even imagine.
Read this story, it’s heartwarming and sweet, but don’t let that fool you, because it’s also filled with witty banter and the perfect amount of heat. Adriana writes books we should all be reading, I’m a fan and will never stop!

Tropes:
-forced proximity
-pop star x country boy
-second chance
-runaway bride
Laina is a mega pop star who runs away on her wedding day. To avoid the cameras and people searching for she hides at the one place she knows she cannot be found..her ex bf Luke’s home.
Thoughts: This was such a cute story like one big hug as the author mentioned. I loved how fast paced this was and I read it in one sitting! Their chemistry was perfection and I loved the flirtation between the two. It wasn’t a whole lotta spice but what we did get…oh we GOT it! Luke had such a sweet charming personality. Laina had the best inner thoughts and I loved how she had so much growth even in this short of a book. It was straight to the point and I loved it! Also, I have to express how much I love how she handled the people who did her wrong. So proud of her moment! I also love Luke’s interactions with his siblings. It adds an extra element of fun and warmth,
If you’re looking for a quick read that’s loving, full of warmth and does’t steer off with extra side plots this one is for you!
Side note: I haven’t read book 1 but I plan to do so now. He seems like such a grump and that is 100% my weakness!
This was a feel good, entertaining and just an overall adorable read. Laina and Luke had chemistry from the get go and with each additional chapter, Adriana Locke made their connection sweet, sexy and completely droolworthy. A fabulous and light read that gives the reader something to smile about while they put the worlds troubles on the back burner.

A runaway bride story as Popstar Laina flees the church where her slimeball Hollywood actor fiancé waits at the altar and runs to arms of her first love, Luke Marshall, to hide from the ensuing furore not to mention the jilted groom and her angry father.
This was a quick and easy read as two people reconnect after years apart. Their banter was fun and their chemistry spicy and I loved the sense of history between Laina and Luke as they reminisced about their past escapades and realised that they’d never fallen out of love. The character development of Laina was fantastic as she took back control of her life, realising she could have the man she loved and also the music. She just needed to find the perfect balance and with Luke she could, and I loved how Luke got the opportunity to ‘introduce’ himself to her former fiancé. With a fantastic cast of secondary characters, mainly Luke’s family who all loved Laina as one of their own although bodyguard Troy has claimed his own space in my heart, This Much is True was a welcome return to Peach Tree Falls and the Marshall family.

AL does it again! I loved this book!
It was all the feels of humor, sweetness, charming, hotness, laughter and loving I needed this week. Laina and Luke are the epitome of HEA after years of being apart. When things go wrong and Laina's father threatens her career and her fiance slanders her in public, Luke steps in to save the day.
This small town, second chance romance is amazingly written. The characters were relatable and charming, funny and charismatic. I immediately fell in love with Luke and his brothers.
100% you want to pick this one up and add it to your shelves!

This was a short but very sweet second chance romance involving a mega star FMC and the small town man that she left behind. There wasn't a ton of angst in this one which I didn't mind. It was basically a rekindling of what they both were feeling for each other. It was a nice quick read!
Laina has found herself in the worst situation. She is about to marry a man that she can't stand. He makes her feel less in every way. She decides to take a stand and ditches him at the altar. She can't think of anywhere else to go except Luke's house. Luke who she dated and loved for 6 years. Luke who she experienced most of her firsts with. Luke who still has his house key hidden in his boot on the front porch. She really hasn't thought this through though because seeing him and thinking about/stalking him on insta are two very different things. What if he is with someone? What if he doesn't want to see her again? I mean he ghosted her all of those years ago so maybe he doesn't care.
Luke is completely caught off guard when none other than Laina is in his living room when he gets home from work. HIS Laina. The Laina he let get away and has regretted ever since. She has left her fiance and decided the only safe place to lay low was with him...here...at his house...in his clothes since all she has is her wedding dress. He decides right away that even though she is here she will have to leave, and it isn't worth getting hurt again. But he has been miserable since she left. So maybe he should take a stand and make her feel important and loved. And that folks is exactly what he does. Their spark rekindles right away and even though they both deny it they know that this is more than a little thing. This is THE thing.
I hadn't read book 1 but didn't really feel like I missed too much. I do think I will go back and read about the other Marshall- he sounds like a grump LOL.
Thank you to Adriana and her team for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review! I hope yall enjoy :)

"It's not breaking && entering if I have a key, right?" 🤭 Famous singer, Laina, is officially a runaway bride with nowhere to go until she thinks of the one person that will keep her safe. Luke, aka hottie farrier, comes home from work && finds Laina on his living room couch still in her wedding dress 🙈 Will these two long lost lovers fall right back into each other's arms?
When I tell you this book is laugh out loud funny, I truly mean it! Adriana had me chuckling constantly with the banter between Laina && Luke. The love these two characters have for each other is unmatched && don't even get me started on their chemistry 🥵 The definition of a perfect second chance romance 🥰 There may also be little surprise cameos from characters we already know && love 🤫
Thank you Adriana && Valentine PR for the privilege of reading && reviewing this ARC copy. The story was such a "hug in book form", just like you wanted! ❤️

i loved luke and laina’s story. she just shows up at his house in her wedding dress and lets herself in. i loved the banter and friendship they had outside of their relationship growing up. i love luke’s job. watching farrier videos on insta changing horseshoes is oddly satisfying.
i love reading an adriana locke book and previous characters make an appearance or are at least mentioned. its always so fun to see what they’re doing now
i really enjoyed being back with the marshall family and can’t wait for more of them
Oh this was such a fun cute romance book that made me want to keep reading till I finished it! I flew through this book when I could be reading, because I loved Laina and Luke. They are ex’s after they broke up when Laina’s pop star career took off and they couldn’t figure out how to make it work.
Now Laina is hiding from the press, her ex-fiancé and her parents when she ends up on Luke’s door. They easily reconnect and you could feel the love between them from the moment they were in the same scenes. I loved how easily they communicated and kept themselves from repeating past mistakes. Luke and his brothers are my favorite and I can’t wait to keep reading them!
The pacing of this book was wonderful, it almost felt too short, but at the same time I also read it super fast so that’s probably my fault. The little things made this story special. This will probably one of my favorite lighthearted second chance stories!
