Some of the most interesting and well developed characters I’ve read in a book. Couldn’t put it down at the end. Had high expectations and it did not disappoint.
What a fascinating and intricately woven tale. If you go into it not knowing anything about it beforehand it is acutally quite interesting because of all the twists and turns, and the unexpected connections that nicley tie everything up. It was a bit slow but it's good to just slow down once in a while instead of bingewatching TV shows to the point where you're not even paying attention anymore. This book gives you time to reflect just as the protagonists turns to his own moral reflection towards the end.

I was quite surprised that I understood this book for it had a lexile of 1150. 183,349 words, each word, each sentence I read of this book feels like a true masterclass in english literature. I had Great Expectations for this novel but what I had read is greater than what I had expected. Reading this will surely be a “core-memory” for me, in the future I would feel nostalgia from remembering the first time that I had read this book.
I found the writing a bit tough to understand so I'm pretty sure some parts of the book went over my head but overall it was an okay read.
Brilliant. Several times in the latter half I completely freaked out. And then near the end I cried. I'm excited to try [b:A Tale of Two Cities|1953|A Tale of Two Cities|Charles Dickens|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1344922523s/1953.jpg|2956372] now.
