I cried in the last two or three chapters because it hit a little too close to home. The book jumped around a bit and I had to get my bearings multiple times while reading, which kind of bothered me. It could have been the formatting of the version I was reading. Overall, another good Anne book.

One of my favorite Anne books, mostly for the gossip about friends and neighbors. Very character driven without too much sappy dialogue. Minus one star for Rilla’s lisp.

Each book is less of Anne and more of her brood of children. I miss Anne!

While I enjoyed getting to know each of Anne and Gilbert's children in this book, some of their adventures reminiscent of Anne's own childhood, I really missed Anne and the characters of Avonlea. I yearned for some updates on how everyone was doing, but after a while, I simply had to enjoy the children growing up in Ingleside. Still a well-written and engaging book.

Just lovely!
