I simply didn't have it in me to care about all these children

It was fun to see some adventures of the children and the writing still had the magic to evoke the imagination, but it felt lacking in some way that I don't have the words to describe.

I enjoyed this one, I loved the stories told from the perspectives of each of the children, I loved Anne as a mum and Susan, my favourite character, is awesome and so funny with her acerbic wit. There were one or two slower chapters such as the one with the gossipy ladies that I glossed over a bit, and I think there could have been a bit more of a character arc for Anne (the final chapters could have been foreshadowed more) but other than that, it was a fun, heart-warming read.

Just read the Anne of Ingleside portion.
