تغییراتی که از کتاب قبل تا این کتاب اتفاق افتاده بودن این قدر زیاد بودن که تا پنجاه شصت صفحه اول حس می کردم یه کتاب رو این وسط جا انداختم!
از تولد جم و رفتن به گلن توی کتاب قبل نه سال گذشته بود و آنی پنج تا بچه داشت که خیلی زود شدن شیش تا.
فکرکنم اینکه بعضی اسم ها یا ماجراها رو با تاخیر به یاد می آوردم یا کلا یادم نمی اومدن، این بود که بین خوندن این کتاب و کتاب قبل فاصله زیادی افتاده بود.
اعصابم بهم ریخته بود، چون گیلبرت دیگه اونی نبود که خودش رو به آب و آتیش زد تا آنی رو به دست بیاره و اصلا به زور توی کتاب نقش داشت و همه ش درگیر کار بود. اما خب، با اون فصل آخر یه خرده خیالم راحت شد.
این که من آن شرلی رو خیلی دوست دارم و خیلی های دیگه هم با من هم عقیده هستن رو انکار نمی کنم، اما داشتم فکر می کردم اگه این کتاب الانا نوشته شده بود، خیلی ها بهش اعتراض می کردن. چون خیلی می گه زن ها این جوری، مردها اون جوری و فلان و بیسار. خلاصه احتمالا فمنیست ها راحتش نمی ذاشتن. ولی خب باید بازه زمانی رو در نظر بگیریم، به نظرم اون موقع همین که آنی می نوشته و رویاپردازی می کرده هم برای بعضی ها زور داشته، چون زن رو چه به این کارها؟

If you're going into this expecting more Anne, you're going to be sorely disappointed, if you go into this expecting the shenanigans Anne's children get into, however, then this is a cute story. Still, I can't stand Mary Maria, and that synopsis is super spoilery and doesn't reflect the novel well at all.

I guess it had to happen some time. I finally reached a book in the series that had very little appeal. As much as it was used to introduce us to the children/ family, there were also quite a number of names/ neighbours brought up which got confusing and easy to dismiss.[return][return]I was extremely disappointed in this book and I believe the main reason was that Anne herself was no more than just a wraith floating around the background. Heck, at times, it seemed like Susan the helper was more front and center! This was actually brought to light at the very last chapter when Anne once again took center stage as a "closing off" of the book. Suddenly, it was fun to read again and it was those last 10 pages that reminded me of why I had enjoyed the series so much.
