This is a fake dating boss/assistant romance.  Every Ly is Shepherd’s assistant. He is robot-like with his personality.  He finds himself in a bind and needs a fake girlfriend.  As time goes in they have to figure out if they are still faking. This is a fun story with characters that are great. Everly is such a loveable FMC.

This book was so bad IJBOL.

The dialogue was so CRIIINGEEEEE AND STILTED like you would have thought a 12 year old had written it?? Oh god it was so bad I wanted to cry. It was especially bad between Everly and her two friends.. it’s like this author didn’t have a best friend in real life, let alone TWO best friends. Just atrocious.

Also this author needs to go back to writing classes and learn to SHOW, not TELL. It was so bad good lord like for example: this author kept TELLING me that Shepherd was a cold ruthless motherfucker. OKAY THEN FUCKING SHOW IT???

Also Everly and Shepherd barely fucking TALKED. Not once did they have a scene where they just… talked to each other about each other. You would have thought with they way the plot was set up—with them living together under the same roof and slept in the same bed—there would have been pillow talk scenes where they just gradually opened up to each other. BUT NOOO. And there was ONE scene where they went on a dinner date, BUT THE FUCKING AUTHOR CHOSE TO FADE-TO-BLACK THEIR CONVERSATION DURING THE FUCKING DATE??? BRO ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS????

This was a solid romance read, definitely enjoyable but nothing outstanding or unique. It followed the same predictable formula of fake dating that I'm a sucker for. Characters were likeable and book was fast paced enough that I didn't bored reading it. Would probably read the rest of the series, especially Nora's story she was a riot!

This is what I call a good time. It's a fun, hot, lighthearted, billionaire, romantic comedy.
There wasn't one part in it where I was annoyed or bored.
I don't know anyone who does short and sweet like CK, but I highly recommend reading her books. Every one of her books that I've read have been a good time.

This was a light and cute book to read. I liked romance but ending had a little too much going on. It seemed rushed and it was super strange of her sister to ask her boss to donate sperm for her and her wife's baby. I really want Cameron & Jude book.
