This was an exciting and adventurous ride. I devoured this in like three hours. It gave me everything I hoped for and more. Clarity to some of my previous confusion and a beautiful ending that gave both Lila and Samael redemption that defied the odds.

I enjoyed this series. I though Lila was super snarky and funny.

The last book in the series. This novel took a few more days to read than the other two books in the series, both of which I read within a few hours. This was because I really didn’t want the series to finish. I loved the dynamic of the two main characters Lila and Samael and the chemistry between them. Lila herself is a badass character who I couldn’t help but support and admire as she took no crap from anyone and her journey is a spectacular one.

The only reason I took off a star is that I felt that some parts of the book were very predictable such as the whole part where Lila is taken with the note as it just wasn’t as gripping as other scenes in the novel. This part of the book was one of the reasons it took so long to finish as I just kept getting infuriated at the characters and the mediocrity of those plot points. It wasn’t a large part of the book but I felt it slightly ruined the dynamic of the story as I loved the rest of the novel.

Overall, I highly recommend this series and definitely see myself rereading this in the future.

Hmm. This was a disappointing ending to the series. There just wasn’t enough information given, specifically about Lila and Lilith and their coexistence. It all just felt a bit anticlimactic and even though I got all the answers I was looking for, it left me feeling unsatisfied. I think the book series as a whole could have been expanded and turned into something huge and great.

Nice ending to the trilogy but wasn’t anything special. The story felt really reparative at times and the villain was a huge let down.

Between the three books the pacing just seems so off -
I think if the author had combined all three and cut out the unnecessary bits then it would have been a much better read.

I’m gonna start this by saying was this the best book series I’ve ever read? No. Was I highly entertained through the whole thing? Yes. Did I almost dnf the first book because the heroine was on my last nerve? Also yes. Do I think you should read it? Yes. Will this review make any sense? Probably not
