I loved the first book in this series and I finally picked up this one. I listened to the audiobook, which is read by Danny DeVito. Perfect casting, I loved it! He gave so much heart and personality to Bob. I loved seeing Bob's growth and learning his past. Applegate is great at writing animal characters and this series is just wonderful. I haven't watched the movie of The One and Only Ivan yet but I would love to.

It's hard not to love Bob, Ivan, and Ruby. In this sequel to The One and Only Ivan, the animals are preparing for an upcoming storm that ultimately causes chaos for the animals and the humans around them. As with The One and Only Ivan, this does not shy away from tragic stories of animals. The book reads quick and also has heart, and I may be more excited than my kid to get the next book.

Super cute! I really liked Bob as a character. I do wish we got a little more Ivan and ruby. There was some great lessons in here for younger people which is great. Also this was narrated by Danny Davito so that was fun. This also was way more upbeat and happy then the first one.
